Wang, who won the Winter Championship last January in Tucson, Arizona, defeated fifth-seeded Daniela Davletshina (Lake Worth, Florida) 6-4, 6-2 in the title matchup in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Davletshina was coming off a tournament victory last month at the Clay Courts.

“I had a good tournament preparation,” Wang said. “That helped me be able to handle different situations in the matches.”

The 15th-seeded doubles team of Davletshina, and younger sister, Nikol, won the tandem competition with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over No. 8 Emily Bennington (Apex, North Carolina) and Sophia Khomoutov (Chicago, Illinois). In the Clay Courts, the sisters took third place.

“We would stay together, even if we were losing,” Nikol Davletshina said. “We were both playing good and it was a lot better than the last time we played.”

The singles semifinals were both three-set battles. Wang outlasted No. 3 Nikol Davletshina 6-4, 2-6, 6-4. Daniela Davletshina was a 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 winner over No. 4 Daniela Del Mastro (Maple Grove, Minnesota).

Third place went to Nikol Davletshina, a 6-2, 6-4 winner over Del Mastro.

The Davletshinas advanced to the championship matchup with a 6-2, 6-4 semifinal victory over the No. 5 team of Madeline Cleary (Moorpark, California) and Olivia Lin (Lexington, Massachusetts). Bennington and Khomoutov beat top seeds Adriana Khomyakova (Port St. Lucie, Florida) and Olivia De Los Reyes (Scarsdale, New York) 4-6, 6-4, 7-5.
