TOURNAMENTS
Since 2010 I have been playing in USTA Jr Tournaments. Starting 2012 every year I have qualified to travel to represent the Caribbean section of the USTA in Zonal Team Championships, also for one USTA Intersectional Tournament, and one International Tennis Federation Junior Interconference Tournament (JITIC). Over the years I have also won various tournament championships in singles and doubles. In the Caribbean section of the USTA I have always been ranked among the top 10 players in my age category. The Junior Team Tennis BG18U Team I played with won the Caribbean sectional championship. During the July 2018 Caribbean Sectional Championship I won finalist in doubles and 4th in singles. And again during the Jr Open IV achieved 4th in singles and finalist in doubles.

HIGH SCHOOL
My GPA is 4.0, and has been so since 1st grade. At 6th and 9th grade graduations I obtained multiple intellectual achievement awards and at our yearly sports awards events have obtained multiple MVP and individual sports awards. At college I am interested in obtaining a bachelor's degree in a medical preparatory field and/or in environmental science.

Below are some of the extracurricular activities I have been involved in during my years at high school.

Arbol Angel 12/16/2017 - 12/16/2017 This is a Christmas season event to collect donations and presents for mistreated women and children shelters. I was in charge of receiving the children, prepare gifts, assist in the collection of donations, and help to provide happiness to the children that participated. They were primarily from the Children's Hospital of Puerto Rico. This activity really changed me. I saw these needy children, who were also sick and mostly from impoverished families, I became so happy with the activity and what we were doing for them. I thought that I could help make them better, and this cemented my resolve in becoming a neurosurgeon.

9th Grade Salutatorian 5/22/2016 - 5/22/2016 At my 9th grade graduation I was honored as the class Salutatorian. I also received many other medals, including class subject matter medals (for example, 1st Place English). During my graduation I realized that hard work really does pay off - both in class as well as in life.

National Honors Society 08/20/2014 - 03/06/2018 I have been a member of the school's chapter of either the National Junior Honors Society and National Honors Society since the 8th grade. I have competed at their intellectual competitions, winning 4th place in Spanish, 5th in the English spelling bee, and will again compete this year in English. One of the key areas that I have learned at the NHS has been to develop myself as a leader, and in teamwork skills.

Be the voice of those without 10/15/2016 - 04/15/2017 This was a project to have a monthly drive to collect necessary supplies and food for two animal shelters (Humane Society and Save a Sato). There was also an open adoption activity where the two shelters showed some of the dogs and cats to potential adopters at the school grounds, and there was also the sale of pet toys, clothing, accessories and other things to raise funds for both shelters. I have always loved little animals, and large ones too (like horses). And this activity showed me that if you love what you are doing, and for whom you are doing it, it will not seem like work to you to do it.

Other sports - at school I have received many MVP awards in other sports too, like softball and track and field.

TENNIS CAMPS
Tennis Camps: since 2009 every summer and during the Christmas holiday season I have been in tennis camps, primarily with Paseos Tennis Experience (Juan Carlos Sauri), but I have also been selected and attended many camps by the Caribbean Tennis Association.

ACADEMY
Tennis Academy: since 2007 my primary tennis academy has always been those led by Juan Carlos Sauri (Encantada Tennis Academy and Paseos Tennis Experience), although during 2016-2017 school year I simultaneously was at the Torrimar Tennis Academy so I could double my weekly practice hours.
