ACADEMY
Laura Baker has never attended a tennis academy and has had 4 private lessons. With the exception of her rising 7th grade summer, she's only played tennis since June 2006 and in 2008 won conference, regionals and placed 3rd at States in singles. This year she was State Singles Finalist in only the third "3rd Set Tie Break" match since 1985! We credit God for this natural talent...and a VERY committed high school coach!
She has played a total of 6 G14 tournaments, 28 G16 tournaments, and 5 G18 tournaments since October 2006.
Laura is looking for a college chemistry department that can prepare her to be a Pharmacist, as well as a college coach who can utilize her tremendous upside to bring her to full potential on the tennis court.
