Hanson Twins Find Right Match at Kansas Wesleyan
Share:

Adam and Jack Hanson didn’t start playing tennis until the seventh grade. They didn’t expect to play in college when they first picked up a racket, but loved the sport enough to want an opportunity.

The twin brothers from Edmond, Oklahoma will be getting their chance at Kansas Wesleyan University.

“The smaller school gives us more competition at our level and lets us still be able to play at a good NAIA school,” said Jack, a one-star senior. “We picked a smaller school so we could have that experience.”

The Hansons heard good things about the KWU program from their friend and training partner, Braeden Lewis, a freshman for the Coyotes.

“He said he really liked the team and then we went and watched the team and met the teammates and it all kind of clicked,” said Adam, a two-star senior. “That was kind of a good pulling point also for us to have good teammates.”

The twins were not set on being a package deal for college. They were willing to go their own way if they felt it was the right move.

“We didn’t really have a preference whether we went to the same college or not,” Jack said. “We both just wanted to stay close to home and we both felt like we really fit into Kansas Wesleyan in tennis and academics. We felt that we got along with the team and like we would have a good time there.”
