Klahn and Paz Weather All Challenges to Earn Grass Courts Titles

Last week's U.S. Junior International Grass Courts Championships at the Philadelphia Cricket Club were played over six days that seemed to encompass three different seasons. The first two days produced spring rains; the next two days felt more like autumn with its cool temperatures and overcast skies; it wasn't until the semifinals and finals that the summer sun and warmth appeared. Californian Bradley Klahn and Gabriela Paz of Venezuela withstood both the climate changes and the unfamiliar surface's challenges to capture the ITF Grade 3 singles titles, neither losing a set in the process.
