Nick Forester is a popular figure around The Woodlands Club in Falmouth, Maine. His high energy playing style on the court and friendly personality off the court make others take notice.

“He brings a good nature to himself, and people really enjoy being around him,” said Forester’s coach, Harve McCartney. “He has been a real asset to our program, and everyone loves him. He gives back to our program a lot by helping other kids.”

Club members don’t have to worry about missing Forester much once he leaves for college. The three-star senior is staying close to home by committing to play for Bates College.

“I never really looked at anything outside of this region. There is no real reason to. I have everything I need in New England,” Forester said. “I also haven’t played a lot of national tournaments because we don’t have the time or ability to travel that much and see different places in the country. But it wasn’t like I had a huge desire or need to go anywhere else.”
