Valerie Glozman (WTN: 9.3) played a tournament at Stanford University when she was 11. Although she didn’t know how much she would develop over the years, the experience made a big impression on Glozman. She loved the scenery of the campus and knew the program was a national contender on an annual basis.
Once she began her recruiting process, Glozman started corresponding with many different Division I schools. The blue chip senior from Bellevue, Washington knew Stanford’s academic standards were high and recruits can’t commit until they are accepted into the school.

“I didn’t want to lose out on other great choices by waiting, but as time kept passing I started falling in love with the idea of Stanford,” she said. “I have a few friends who have gone there and they had nothing bad to say about it. I felt like I had a good shot to get in and wanted to wait it out and see what happened.”
