Conditions throughout the week of the Wayne K. Curry Prince George's County International Junior Tennis Championships alternated between pleasantly warm and sunny days to uncomfortably steamy ones, with only one brief rain delay during the week.
Jones had kept her time on court to a minimum throughout the week, winning her first four matches in straight sets. Included in that tally was a comprehensive 6-2, 6-2 semifinal victory over No. 3 seed Teodora Kostovic of Serbia, who had played for more than three hours in each of her previous two victories.
