Elise Wong had schools from both coasts on her list of options for college. But once she decided she wanted a change of pace, the rising four-star senior from Honolulu, Hawaii narrowed her focus to locations with all four seasons.

“I wanted to see the snow, so that was a big decision for me,” Wong said. “I was actually considering Division I or Division III because I was a little bit concerned about the balance of academics and athletics at a Division I school.”
Wong’s concerns about how she could juggle everything at Dartmouth were alleviated once she spoke with members of the current team. She realized she could get an Ivy League education and play Division I tennis.
“It felt like a really good fit. It felt like a place where I would be supported and encouraged to grow both on and off the court,” said Wong, who has committed to the Big Green. “Looking at the school, I really focused on the tennis program, academics and the campus life and it was all exceptional at Dartmouth.”
