Noah Zamora struggled to find his purpose in tennis during the coronavirus pandemic. Without any competition, he wasn’t motivated to train as hard.

The blue chip senior from San Diego rolled over the Volkswagen Passat he was driving last August. He somehow managed to crawl out safely with the car upside down. Zamora suffered minor injuries to his feet and legs, but was otherwise unscathed.
The event instantly changed his outlook.
“I realized how blessed I was to be alive and not seriously injured. It pushed me to not take anything for granted,” Zamora said. “I told myself ‘Come on, you got this Noah. You are still here and you need to make the most of it.’ I am trying to live up to that now.”
