SPOTLIGHT ON Jessie Law (Alpine, New Jersey)
Music on your playlist: I am a big hip hop fan. My favorite artist is J Cole. I listen to him to pump myself up.
Dream vacation destination: Probably Hawaii or somewhere I have never been like Germany. I would really like to go there sometime.
Favorite food: Sushi. That is my go-to meal. The eel avocado roll is one of the best.
Favorite athletes: Michael Jordan, especially with the new documentary that came out this summer. He is so inspiring. And Coco Gauff because she is the most relatable since she’s my age and I aspire to be how good she is.
Future occupation: I want to be an entertainment lawyer, so I want to get my JD and MBA. I want to major in economics and minor in musicology - that is the entertainment part. I really like law, and not only because it's my last name.
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be: Martin Luther King because I think he would be really happy to see the changes he made, especially right now with the whole BLM movement. He stood for so many good things and reached such a wide and diverse group of people.
Must-watch TV show: The Office. I am actually in the middle of rewatching it for the third time right now. It is just so funny.
Favorite movie: Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s just so well done and I love Rami Malek. I think he’s such a great actor, and I love the music. I could just listen to the music all day without the movie.
If I am not playing tennis, I am … doing schoolwork or hanging out with my sister. She is 13 and she is my best friend. I am her biggest fan and vice versa.
