Boys 12s Singles Champion Rudy Quan

The top-seeded Quan, a Sacramento, California native, was flawless in singles, as he did not drop a set in the event held at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, Florida. Quan defeated sixth-seeded Lucas Coriaty of Long Beach, California 6-1, 6-1, to capture the gold ball in singles.

“I think I get my tenacity from my grandfather,” said Quan when asked about his determination in the tournament. “He played both competitive baseball and football and taught me to always play my best and to have fun.”
