Jack Secord (Lake Forest, Illinois) captured his second straight USTA Boys 12 singles title by winning the USTA Nationals held in Mobile, Alabama.

Secord, the tournament’s top seed, defeated No. 16 Joseph Nau (Brentwood, California) 6-4, 6-1 in the finals at the Mobile Tennis Center. Last month, Secord emerged as the champion of the USTA Clay Courts.

“My serve and forehand were my strengths this week,” said Secord of his play in Mobile. “My best weapon was my forehand, and I had a positive attitude throughout the tournament.”

The doubles gold ball went to the ninth-seeded duo of Nau and Ilias Bouzoubaa (San Diego, California), who beat the second-seeded tandem of Ryan Cozad (Alpharetta, Georgia) and Jordan Lee (Orlando, Florida) 6-3, 6-2 in the championship tilt.
