INDIAN WELLS, Calif. - Rudy Quan and Valerie Glozman know the feeling of leaving the Indian Wells Tennis Garden with a winner's trophy, with both having claimed USTA Easter Bowl titles in Tennis Paradise.
But with limited play in International Tennis Federation events over the course of their junior careers, both arrived at the FILA International Junior Championships during the second week of the BNP Paribas Open unseeded and without an ITF Junior Circuit title at any level.

That changed on Stadium 2 court Sunday, with Glozman defeating top seed Teodora Kostovic of Serbia 6-2, 6-2 and wild card Quan beating No. 10 seed Jack Kennedy 3-6, 6-1, 6-3, collecting not only their first ITF J300 titles, but wild cards into the qualifying of the BNP Paribas Open in 2025.
Both Glozman and Quan had survived grueling semifinal encounters Saturday, with Quan's thrilling 7-6(4), 2-6, 7-5 win over top seed Kaylan Bigun, delayed for nearly four hours by a mid-afternoon rain shower in the desert, ending in chilly conditions at 9:30 p.m. Glozman had managed to survive a serious case of cramping late in the third set in her 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over No. 2 seed Iva Jovic, and needed extensive treatment after the match, although she had finished before the rain began.
