Smith: Tennis Needs to Start Fun to Remain Fun

When kids are starting to play tennis, it has to be fun and that has to stay with them forever. Because once you reach the pro level and it becomes a business, you have to find ways to enjoy it. That seed is planted when kids are young. That is when the fun needs to start. Everyone has in the back of their heads that they’d love their kid to be a pro, but tennis is a very tough sport at the pro level because it is lonely.
